2017 Events in St. George

There are so many awesome events to enjoy this upcoming year in St. George. No matter what time of the year you plan to visit, there’s something interesting going on. Here are some of our favorite upcoming events:

St. George Half Marathon January 14th

"This is Southern Utah's longest running half marathon, attracting 2500 runners. In it's 35th year this spectacular race is on paved city trails that wind along the Virgin River and take you through the beautiful landscape of St. George." (St. George City)

St. George Area Parade of Homes February 17th-26th

"Mark your calendars for the 2017 St. George Area Parade of Homes scheduled for February 17-26, 2017. Twenty-eight spectacular new homes will be on display throughout beautiful Southern Utah, including St. George, Washington, Ivins, and Hurricane. Sand Hollow Marathon March 11th

"The Sand Hollow Marathon will run on March 11th, 2017. If you have not yet run this course, then you're in for a treat! Our newly developed course, starting and finishing in the beautiful, small town of Hurricane, Utah loops around Sand Hollow State Park and Reservoir." (Sand Hollow Marathon)

St. George IRONMAN 70.3 May 6th

"This striking Southwestern home of one of IRONMAN's original full-distance races now hosts one of the season's earliest IRONMAN 70.3 races. The race is staged in and around the heart of St. George, with Zion National Park only 45 minutes away by car. The city's walkable downtown area offers great local fare and boutique shopping—perfect for enjoying the sunny spring weather. On the opposite end of the spectrum, St. George is only two hours from the nightlife of Las Vegas, with its never-ending entertainment options." (Ironman)

St. George Marathon October 7th

"Rated by Runner's World as one of the four "Marathons to Build a Vacation Around" in the World. Included in Runner's World 10 Most Scenic and Fastest Marathons and Top 20 Marathons in the USA. It begins in the majestic Pine Valley mountains and descends nearly 2600 feet through scenic southwest Utah, to the beautiful Worthen Park. The St. George Marathon is a point-to-point race which is USA Track & Field Certified & Sanctioned. Runner's World listed the St. George Marathon as the fastest fall marathon. World Senior Games October 9th-21st

"A small full-time staff works year round and is joined by more than 2,500 eager seasonal volunteers to host 27 athletic events over a two-week period each October. Headquartered in Southern Utah, the HUNTSMAN WORLD SENIOR GAMES has become a renowned event among serious athletes from Japan to Russia and from Alaska to Australia.
